侄儿一家到访洛杉矶《中英文》（苏顺路）

美丽的大熊湖雪山风光

5-3-2023日，我侄儿苏伟扬，侄媳苏宝珍，带着侄孙苏骏豪，由新加坡经日本到访美国，先到洛杉矶我们家。侄媳在新加坡一家医院眼科调测处工作，五年前公费来洛杉矶短期培训过，这是第二次来美国圣地亚哥培训，可带家属自费随行，所以侄儿和侄孙一同来美国。
侄儿执有国际驾照，第二天我大儿子带他去租车，领他上高速公路试车，熟悉环境、操控导航，下午侄儿一家自行驱车前往圣地牙哥，侄媳经过四天培训，9号下午他们回到我们家。

大熊湖碧水蓝天

1984年，我太太的二哥加入美藉，立即申请在香港的兄弟姐妹移民美国，1993年，在香港的四个兄弟姐妹同时得到批准，先后来到美国。后来由于种种原因，大哥和小妹放弃绿卡，返回香港，只有我们一家和小弟一家定居下来，並且先后入了美藉。大哥和小妹多次来美探亲。此次侄儿一家来访，是我方面的亲戚首次到美探亲，因此，我的心情格外激动。 10号儿子带侄儿一家到各大超市购买西药补品及食物。 11号儿子租一辆大车，驱车带我们到两小时车程的洛杉矶著名大熊湖景点。随着汽车往山上攀爬，天气越来越冷，山腰上不时见到尚未解冻的白色冰块，风景如画。中午12点，我们来到大熊湖景区，首先映入眼睑的是连绵的松树林和深藏林间的尖顶小木屋，别致无比。

品尝中餐美食

儿子带我们先到掏金沙场，让侄儿家玩沙地掏金游戏，三人均没有掏到金子，只掏到一些五颜六色的小石块。进一家西餐厅吃午饭后，我们去小旅馆休息。小旅馆是木制结构的，分上下两层，三间睡房，刚好能容纳我们七人。麻雀虽小五脏俱全，电视机、厨房、浴室洗手间、儿童玩具应有尽有，入住感觉十分舒服。本来租一晚两百多元，因儿子是退伍军人，半价优待，十分划算。

下午去一家中餐馆用膳，吃到美味可口的饭菜。太阳落山前，我们在大熊湖畔漫步。蓝天碧水，空中鸟儿飞翔，水面野鸭戏水，风景格外优美，特别是太阳在湖边朦胧横山徐徐降落，晚霞染红了蓝天，让我们陶醉在大自然的神奇境界中，久久难醒，流连忘返。

合掌伏首拜别长辈

侄儿一家从炎热的新加坡来，此时那里的气温高达三十多度，眼下山上夜间的气温降至十几度，所以夜晚开暖气给他们过夜，他们觉得很舒服，我们却觉得过热，当晚並不好睡眠。第二天上午9点，我们按时退订旅馆，从入住到离开，没有见到一个职员，彼此之间完全用网络结账，交付费金，密码进出，科技进步，生活方便。我们进湖边的西餐馆用膳，有点像中餐馆上午饮茶。原计划餐后上游船，环绕湖沿观尝湖光水色，记得多年前我们首次来此，坐船参观，船长兼职导游，边开船边介绍，实在少见，至今仍有印象。那时游船至少一天航行两趟。疫情之后，游客甚少，美国的经济欠佳，物价飞涨，加上非节假日，只有我们七个人，按不超过十个乘客，不开船之规则，我们的计划落空，只好驱车环绕大熊湖一圈，从不同的角度摄影留念。约下午3点，离开景区。5点回到家。

参观迪斯尼乐园

5月14日，上午儿子带侄儿一家去迪斯尼乐园游玩，美国东西两岸各有一个迪斯尼乐园，香港和上海也先后建造迪斯尼乐园。可是新加坡没有，侄儿家，特别是三岁的侄孙，玩得很开心，白天乘坐游船，入夜观看灯光秀，五彩缤纷夜空烟花，晚10点才回到家。5月15日，侄儿在洛杉矶的亲密班友，带他们一家去作客，游玩购物，餐厅用餐，很晚才回来。16号下午1点，我们驱车赴国际机场。约下午3点，侄儿一家登入候机室，我们彼此挥手告别。侄儿一家经过长途跋涉，克服了气温的冷暖，时差的干扰，顺利地完成了整个旅程，平安地回到新加坡。

Nephew’s family visits

Beautiful big bear lake snow mountain scenery

On 5-3-2023, my nephew Su Weiyang, my niece Su Baozhen, and my grandnephew Su Junhao traveled from Singapore to the United States via Japan, first to our home in Los Angeles. My niece and daughter-in-law work in the Ophthalmology Department of a hospital in Singapore. Five years ago, I came to Los Angeles for a short-term training at public expense. This is the second time I have come to San Diego for training in the United States. I can bring my family members to accompany me at my own expense, so my nephew and grandnephew came to the United States together.
My nephew has an international driver’s license. On the second day, my eldest son took him to rent a car and took him on the highway for a test drive. He was familiar with the environment and controlled the navigation. In the afternoon, the nephew and his family drove to San Diego by themselves. After four days of training, the nephew and his wife were 9 They returned to our house in the afternoon.

Big Bear Lake Clear Water and Blue Sky

In 1984, my wife’s second elder brother joined the U.S. Citizenship and immediately applied for his siblings in Hong Kong to immigrate to the U.S. In 1993, the four siblings in Hong Kong were approved at the same time and came to the U.S. successively. Later, due to various reasons, the older brother and the younger sister gave up their green cards and returned to Hong Kong. Only our family and the younger brother’s family settled down and entered the United States successively. The elder brother and the younger sister have visited relatives in the United States many times. This visit by my nephew’s family is the first time for my relatives to visit relatives in the United States, so I am very excited. Son No. 10 took his nephew’s family to major supermarkets to buy western medicine supplements and food. On the 11th, my son rented a big car and drove us to the famous Big Bear Lake scenic spot in Los Angeles, which is a two-hour drive. As the car climbs up the mountain, the weather is getting colder and colder. From time to time, white ice blocks that have not yet thawed can be seen on the mountainside, which is picturesque . At 12:00 noon, we came to the Big Bear Lake Scenic Area. The first thing that caught our eyelids was the continuous pine forest and the steeple cabins hidden in the forest, which are extremely unique.

Taste Chinese food

My son took us to the gold digging field first, and asked my nephew’s family to play the game of digging gold in the sand. None of the three got gold, but only some colorful small stones. After entering a western restaurant for lunch, we went to a small hotel to rest. The small hotel is a wooden structure, divided into upper and lower floors, three bedrooms, just enough to accommodate seven of us. Although the sparrow is small, it has all internal organs, including TV, kitchen, bathroom and toilet, and children’s toys. It feels very comfortable to stay. Originally renting for more than 200 yuan a night, because my son is a veteran, the half-price preferential treatment is very cost-effective.

In the afternoon, I went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner and had delicious meals. Before sunset, we walked along the shore of Big Bear Lake. The blue sky and clear water, the birds flying in the air, the wild ducks playing in the water, the scenery is particularly beautiful, especially the sun is slowly descending on the hazy Hengshan by the lake, and the sunset glow reddens the blue sky, making us intoxicated in the magical realm of nature.

Put your palms together and bid farewell to the elders

My nephew’s family came from the hot Singapore. At this time, the temperature there was as high as more than 30 degrees. Now the night temperature on the mountain dropped to more than 10 degrees, so I turned on the heater for them to stay overnight. They felt very comfortable, but we felt too hot. That night Didn’t sleep well. At 9 a.m. the next day, we canceled the hotel reservation on time. From check-in to check-out, we did not see a single staff member. We used the Internet to check out, pay fees, and enter and exit with passwords. Technology has advanced and life is convenient. We ate in a western restaurant by the lake, which was a bit like having morning tea in a Chinese restaurant. The original plan was to go on a boat after the meal, and go around the lake to enjoy the lake and water. I remember that we came here for the first time many years ago and took a boat tour. The captain was a part-time tour guide and introduced while sailing. At that time cruise ships sailed at least twice a day. After the epidemic, there were very few tourists, the economy in the United States was not good, prices were soaring, and there were only seven of us on non-holidays. According to the rule of no more than ten passengers and no boats, our plan fell through, so we had to drive around Big Bear Lake Circle, take pictures from different angles. At about 3 pm , leave the scenic spot. Back home at 5 o’clock.

Visit Disneyland

On the morning of May 14, my son took his nephew and his family to Disneyland to play. There is a Disneyland on the east and west coasts of the United States, and Hong Kong and Shanghai have also built Disneyland successively. But not in Singapore. My nephew’s family, especially my three-year-old grandnephew, had a great time, taking a cruise during the day, watching the light show and colorful fireworks in the night sky, and returning home at 10 o’clock in the evening. On May 15th, my nephew’s close classmate in Los Angeles took their family to visit, shopping, dining at restaurants, and came back very late. At 1 pm on the 16th, we drove to the international airport. At about 3 p.m., my nephew and his family entered the waiting room, and we waved goodbye to each other. After a long journey, the nephew’s family overcame the hot and cold temperatures and the interference of jet lag, successfully completed the whole journey and returned to Singapore safely.
